Student Happy Hour: Nutrigenomics in the Clinical Setting with Cary Kreutzer, EdD, MPH, RDN, FAND

We are delighted to announce the next Student Happy Hour, April 8th at 7pm ET/4pm PT, hosted by DIFM. Join us for an enlightening session featuring Cary Kreutzer, EdD, MPH, RDN, FAND, as she delves into the application of Nutrigenomics in Clinical Practice. This happy hour aims to offer insights into the practical use of nutrigenomics in clinical settings.

Since the publication of the first complete human genome over 20 years ago, significant progress has been made. The increasing affordability of direct-to-consumer (DTC) testing has sparked growing interest in nutrigenomics. Researchers, clinicians, and consumers are now eager to comprehend how this information can shed light on disease risks, facilitate targeted prevention, and enable a more precise approach to personalized health.

For clinicians, it is crucial to grasp and utilize evidence-based resources when interpreting and communicating results. This session will establish a foundation by exploring what is currently known about DTC testing, providing resources for result interpretation, and emphasizing the importance of recognizing legal and ethical issues that may arise when sharing genomic information.
