What is a Networking Relationship?
A Networking Alliance is an informal communication opportunity between a Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) and an organization with mutual interests and goals.
What are some of the criteria necessary to establish a Networking Relationship?
-Must be non-profit status
-The network will increase the visibility of the DPG and its members and vice versa and provide access to experts in both organizations
-The DPG may publish information in the interested organization’s newsletter, journal or website and the organization may provide articles for inclusion in the newsletter, website or other communication vehicles.
-The organizations will share scientific and evidence-based information in the form of articles, webinars, seminars, and other forms of study
-The network provides the opportunity to establish DPG members in leadership positions in network organizations
-In some cases, the DPG members will be invited to sit on the board of the network organization
-Other benefits of the networking relationship include reduced rates to symposiums, educational materials, webinars, etc.
