ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT STIPENDS-DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2010
Each year, DIFM DPG provides two $100 professional development stipends (one each for a member and student member) to aid in defraying the cost of professional development opportunities which focus on integrative, functional and holistic medicine, nutritional genomics, whole foods, dietary supplements, and/or natural healing modalities.
The application requires a brief proposal for an article to be published in the DIFM DPG Newsletter. A two or three page double-spaced article with meeting highlights is to be sent to Sarah Laidlaw, DIFM DPG Newsletter Editor, at peaknut@cascadeaccess.com , within four weeks of returning from the meeting. Once the article has been approved by the Newsletter Editor, reimbursement will be provided (receipt for expense is required).
To apply for the award, complete the appropriate application below and submit by February 1, 2010 to Christine Doolittle MS RD CSSD LDN CLT at foreverfit@zoominternet.net. Selection will be made by March 15, 2010. The award recipient will be notified by email.
ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE AND EXCELLENCE IN PRACTICE AWARDS-Due March 1, 2010
Excellence in Service Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership and service as a member of the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine (DIFM) Dietetic Practice Group, is a leader in the profession, and has worked toward the promotion of the dietetic professionals involved in integrative, functional and holistic medicine, nutritional genomics, whole foods, dietary supplements, and/or natural healing modalities.
Excellence in Practice Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary skill in practice and commitment in the promotion of dietetic professionals involved in integrative, functional and holistic medicine, nutritional genomics, whole foods, dietary supplements, and/or natural healing modalities.
Active members in good standing with the ADA and DIFM DPG and who have not previously won the award are eligible for these two awards. For more information, click on the “Awards and Stipends” tab on the www.IntegrativeRD.org website.
