It is a very exciting time to be a member of DIFM!
The Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine have been completed and have been published in the June issue of "JADA" . We owe a big thank you to all the members of the Committee who participated in this lengthy process that will benefit you, the DIFM member.
What's the next step? We are exploring the educational opportunities and requirements to become an advanced practitioner in the area of integrative nutrition. It is your interest and support of this vision that has brought us to this point. Your continued participation, and help engaging new and former members to join us, will move us closer to our goal of advanced practice credentialing.
Our name change to Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine brought us much recognition and respect from the integrative and functional medical community.
